Axis 360 Launches Mobile-Friendly Website

Reading on the go has never been easier! Axis 360's website is being upgraded to ensure your patrons will enjoy a responsive experience on any device and have immediate access to what they are currently reading. Patrons can now choose to use our mobile-friendly website, the mobile app, or both! They can seamlessly switch from the mobile app to browser access, no matter what device they are on!

What these changes mean for patrons: 

  • All new responsive modern looking website; Axis 360 will size according to the device being used
  • New advanced searching options, easily refine your search results by Format, Availability, or Publication Date
  • Jacket banners to easily see what is Expiring Soon, On Hold, or Coming Soon 
  • A heart bookmark indicates to a user that they have the title on their Wish List.
  • For our visually impaired patrons, we've added a High Contrast setting to make browsing and navigating within the website a breeze
  • View alerts when on-hold titles are ready for checkout
  • One tap/click checkout followed by one tap/click Read/Listen in browser
  • Notifications will alert the user when they have Holds available for checkout
  • Revised date format to accommodate all users, wherever you are
  • Checked out items will appear first on the Axis 360 landing page, just one click and the patron is reading or listening

We're very excited about the changes, and are sure you will be too!

Patron-facing online help (https://bakerandtaylor.force.com/axis360/s/) and videos on our Axis 360 YouTube site (https://www.youtube.com/user/Axis360Support) will be updated accordingly once the enhancements are live.

Please note that updates will be rolled out between Sunday November 25 from 10 PM and Monday 26 November at 4 AM AEST. Your Axis 360 website will be unavailable during these hours although users of the App will still be able to access content they have checked out and downloaded under ‘My Stuff’. A maintenance message will be displayed on the Axis 360 Website.

When the website redesign rolls out, some of your logos may not size appropriately in mobile view. If you notice any distortion when the changeover happens, just contact your Relationship Manager to get it corrected.
