The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards have been announced! Formerly known as the AFI Awards, winners included: Red Dog (the winner of the Samsung AACTA Award for Best Film), Snowtown (4 awards including Best Direction, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Lead Actor and Best Supporting Actress) and Oranges and Sunshine. Television was well covered with The Slap winning five awards. Cloudstreet, Sisters of War and East West 101 were also popular choices on the night.
